Versus Systems ( VS ) said late Thursday it is expanding into Brazil and appointed Flavio Maria as country manager.

Brazil is one of "the largest global gaming markets with more than 100 million users," the company said. Shares of Versus Systems ( VS ) were up nearly 80% in premarket activity Friday.

Maria previously served as a managing partner at M/Challenger Startup, Accelerator, according to Versus Systems ( VS ).
