Update: VIQ Solutions Down Near 5% as it Secures SOC 2 Certification

11:57 AM EDT, 04/03/2024 (MT Newswires) -- VIQ Solutions ( VQSSF ) , a provider of AI-driven capture and transcription services, said Wednesday it achieved a Service Organization Controls (SOC) 2 Type 1 report and attestation.

The company said the certification validates VIQ as a trusted capture and transcription platform partner, "which is crucial for highly regulated industries".

The SOC2 framework is developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is used to examine an organization's controls that are in place to protect and secure its systems and services.

"The rigorous certification process further validates our established robust controls, underscoring our unwavering focus on safety and dependability," said Vahram Sukyas, VIQ's chief technology officer.

"The robust requirements of the SOC2 framework ensure best practices for securing assets, including corporate information, intellectual property, employee information, and information entrusted by third parties," Sukyas added.

The company were last seen down C$0.01 to C$0.205 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
