US approves possible sale of aerial refueling aircraft to Japan, Pentagon says

WASHINGTON, Sept 13 (Reuters) - The U.S. State

Department has approved the possible sale of KC-46A aerial

refueling aircraft and related equipment to Japan for an

estimated cost of $4.1 billion, the Pentagon said on Friday.

The principal contractors would be Boeing ( BA ), RTX and Northrop

Grumman ( NOC ), it said in a statement.
