US opens probe into Amazon-owned Zoox cars

May 13 (Reuters) - The U.S. auto safety regulator said

on Monday it was opening a preliminary evaluation into an

estimated 500 Zoox vehicles, Amazon's ( AMZN ) self-driving car unit,

over reports of vehicles equipped with Automated Driving System

unexpectedly braking, leading to rear-end collisions.
