VAALCO Energy Acquires 70% Stake, Operatorship of CI-705 Block in Offshore Cote D'Ivoire

03:37 AM EST, 03/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- VAALCO Energy ( EGY ) said Monday it acquired a 70% interest in and the operatorship of the CI-705 oil exploration block located in offshore Cote D'Ivoire for a $3 million investment.

In partnership with Ivory Coast Exploration Oil & Gas and PETROCI, VAALCO gained the working interest alongside a 100% paying interest in the block, the company said.
