08:59 AM EDT, 10/07/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Velan ( VLNSF ) , a manufacturer of industrial valves, on Monday reported that union members at its Williston, Vermont plant will strike with immediate effect after they voted down the three-year collective agreement that had been negotiated and signed last month.

The decision to strike affects less than 45 Velan ( VLNSF ) employees, or just under 3% of the total workforce.

Velan's ( VLNSF ) Canadian and international operations are unaffected by the strike.
