Aug 13, 2025 3:10 AM

05:51 AM EDT, 08/13/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Venture Global ( VG ) said late Tuesday it won a legal battle against Shell (SHEL) related to liquefied natural gas sales from the company's Calcasieu project in Louisiana.

"We are pleased with the tribunal's determination, which reaffirms what Venture Global ( VG ) has maintained from the outset -- the plain language in our contracts, mutually agreed upon with all of our customers, is clear," the company said. "We have consistently honored these agreements without exception."

A Shell spokesperson told MT Newswires in an e-mailed statement that the company was "disappointed with the outcome, but [respects] the tribunal's decision."

Venture Global ( VG ) shares were up 9.6% in recent premarket activity Wednesday, while Shell rose 0.2%.
