11:35 AM EST, 11/25/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Veon ( VEON ) said Tuesday its software company subsidiary QazCode entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with sovereign AI firm MeetKai.

The partnership aims to develop and train next-generation large language models for the deployment of local-language agentic AI services across Veon's ( VEON ) operating markets, the company said.

The collaboration will enable Veon ( VEON ) to scale locally relevant AI digital services for over 150 million customers across Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, according to a statement.
