Verizon names former PayPal boss Dan Schulman as CEO

(Reuters) -Verizon said on Monday former PayPal boss Dan Schulman would replace Hans Vestberg as CEO of the telecom operator effective immediately.

Vestberg will serve as a special adviser to the company through October 4 next year, Verizon said.

Verizon's shares were up 1.3% in premarket trading.
