11:00 AM EDT, 05/24/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Viavi Solutions ( VIAV ) said in a Friday filing that its Viavi Solutions Acquisitions unit terminated the agreement to acquire Spirent Communications.

The company said the transaction, to buy Spirent for 175 pence ($2.23) per Spirent share, was subject to a meeting for Spirent shareholders to approve the acquisition being held on or before May 23, but the deadline passed without the meeting and the court-sanctioned scheme for the transaction has lapsed.

Viavi said the financing arrangements for the acquisition were also terminated.
