10:04 AM EDT, 07/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Visa (V) will provide technical support and additional features as HSBC ( HSBC ) prepares to introduce its Zing international payments app into new markets globally, the companies said on Tuesday.
According to the companies, Zing will allow users to hold funds in more than 10 different currencies as well as send funds using over 30 currencies to and from and in more than 200 countries and territories globally.
Visa is providing its Currencycloud multi-currency wallet and its Tink bank-transfer technologies to help support the new Zing payments app, which HSBC ( HSBC ) first rolled out for customers in the UK in January and is planning to expand into more markets soon, the companies said.
Financial terms of the new partnership were not disclosed.
