02:00 PM EDT, 07/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Warner Bros. Discovery ( WBD ) said Monday its streaming and studio-focused company will be named Warner Bros., while the broadcast unit will be called Discovery Global following the company's planned split in mid-2026.

Warner Bros. will include HBO, HBO Max, DC Studios, Warner Bros. Television, Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group, and Warner Bros. Gaming Studios, along with the film and television libraries, the company said.

Discovery Global will include CNN, TNT Sports, Discovery, European free-to-air channels, Bleacher Report, and Discovery+, the company added.

As announced in June, the company said Warner Bros. Discovery ( WBD ) Chief Executive David Zaslav will serve as Warner Bros. president and CEO, while Chief Financial Officer Gunnar Wiedenfels will head Discovery Global as president and CEO.

Shares of the company were up 2% in recent trading Monday.
