Waste Management Launches Exchange Offer for $500 Million Stericycle Notes Ahead of Merger

05:27 PM EDT, 09/10/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Waste Management (WM) said Tuesday it has launched a private offer to exchange new notes to be issued by the company for $500 million of 3.875% senior notes due 2029 issued by Stericycle ( SRCL ) .

Waste Management and Stericycle ( SRCL ) expect to complete their planned merger as early as Q4.

The new notes will have the same interest payment dates, maturity date and interest rate as the Stericycle ( SRCL ) notes, but will differ in some respects, including the redemption provisions, the company said. Eligible holders of SRCL notes tendered by Sept. 23 early tender deadline will also receive a cash consideration.

The exchange offer expires on Oct. 8.
