08:52 AM EDT, 08/20/2024 (MT Newswires) -- West Red Lake Gold Mines ( WRLGF ) said Tuesday that it kicked off a 10,000-meter surface drilling program across its Madsen property in Ontario.

The company said the program will test high-priority targets generated through a systematic evaluation of the geologic data.

"After completing a thorough review of the available geologic data for the Madsen property our team has generated some new exploration concepts and identified a number of highly prospective targets that share characteristics with known resource areas, which suggests the geologic potential for hosting high-grade gold mineralization," said Will Robinson, the company's vice president of exploration.
