Westhaven Starts Summer Drill Program on Shovelnose Gold Project, Southern B.C.
Jun 19, 2025 6:08 AM

08:50 AM EDT, 06/19/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Westhaven Gold ( WTHVF ) on Thursday reported that exploration drilling is underway at its Shovelnose gold project in southern British Columbia.

A statement noted that near 5,000 metres of drilling is planned over the summer, focused on identifying new areas of low sulphidation epithermal gold mineralization.

As part of the program, Westhaven plans to complete at least one drill hole to provide additional data on Vein Zones 1, 2 and 3, in the core of the South Zone, the company said.

"Drilling will focus on testing a number of 'step change' target areas where the discovery of new gold mineralization would complement the South Zone, FMN and Franz gold deposits, which were the subject of a recently completed preliminary economic assessment of the potential for a high grade, high margin underground gold mining opportunity at Shovelnose," said Chief Executive Ken Armstrong.

WHN edged up $0.005 to $0.16 yesterday.
