06:41 AM EDT, 06/17/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Westlake Corporation ( WLK ) announced on Tuesday that it plans to close its Pernis facility in the Netherlands, resulting in a workforce reduction of approximately 230 employees.

The closure is expected to incur approximately 190 million euros ($219.7 million) in pre-tax costs, including severance, environmental remediation, and plant shutdown expenses, the company said.

Westlake also said it will continue operations at its Deer Park, Texas, facility to supply customers with LER and BPA products.

These costs are expected to be recognized in Q2, though cash outflows will occur over several years, the company said.
