What Happened to Apple? 'It Got Hated'
May 31, 2024 7:16 AM

09:19 AM EDT, 05/31/2024 (MT Newswires) -- The Compound and Friends took mega caps in its podcast Friday morning. Hosts Josh Brown and Michael Batnick are mulling the negative sentiment on Apple ( AAPL ) and whether it's deserved. The problem, according to guest Stephanie Link, chief investment strategist with Hightower Advisors, is "it got hated." The company has seen a series of analyst downgrades and worries over its iPhone cycle and China business. Despite these concerns, recent earnings were good, noted Link. As an investor, "you have this $110 billion buyback as your backstop while they figure out how to get top line (growth) again." Brown agreed, citing the company's huge install base and expectations for growth in its services business.
