11:46 AM EDT, 05/29/2024 (MT Newswires) -- WideOpenWest ( WOW ) said Wednesday it has obtained a $2.4 million grant from the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs to expand its fiber network in the southeastern part of the state.

The grant, which will be used to target underserved areas, is in addition to the company's contribution of $1 million, for a total investment of $3.4 million, WideOpenWest ( WOW ) said.
