Willis Lease Finance, Air India Express Sign Engine Sale, Leaseback Deals

09:12 AM EDT, 03/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Willis Lease Finance ( WLFC ) and Air India Express have signed definitive engine sale and leaseback agreements for 26 CFM56-7B engines installed on 13 of its Boeing (BA) 737-800 jets, according to a statement Thursday.

The engines will be covered under a Willis Lease Finance ( WLFC ) program that provides improved reliability and cost savings compared with traditional maintenance, repair and overhaul shop visits, according to the statement.

This program is on top of the program that Willis Lease Finance ( WLFC ) and Air India signed in 2022 for 34 CFM56-5B engines installed on the airlines' Airbus A320 aircraft.
