09:38 AM EDT, 07/02/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Windtree Therapeutics ( WINT ) said Wednesday that the US Patent and Trademark Office issued a patent on istaroxime for the treatment of acute heart failure.

If istaroxime gets approval in the US for acute heart failure, the patent would provide protection until 2039, the company said.

Shares were up 56% in early trading.
