11:25 AM EDT, 06/12/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Yukon Metals ( JKSRF ) was last seen up 11% after the company said Wednesday it increased its land position to 36,000 hectares from an initial 18,000 hectares after considerable staking in the northern Canadian territory over the last few months.
The staking program focused on the high-priority AZ property, surrounding its Talbot property, and a new set of prospective claims near the Alaska Highway, which has been named "Fairway".
"AZ is a high-priority potential copper-gold porphyry asset, while Talbot hosts a substantial gold and silver anomaly," chief executive Rory Quinn said in a release.
The company's shares were last seen up $0.07 to $0.72 on the Canadian Securities Exchange.
