ZYUS Life Sciences Amends Promissory Note

09:14 AM EDT, 03/17/2025 (MT Newswires) -- ZYUS Life Sciences ( ZLSCF ) , which rose 5.5% on Friday from near its 52-week low, amended a promissory note agreement.

The promissory note previously entered between its wholly-owned unit ZYUS Life Sciences ( ZLSCF ) and an independent director of the company was also replaced by a loan agreement between the two sides.

The company said the independent director agreed to advance additional cash consideration of $0.25 million, pursuant to the loan. ZYUS added that $0.025 million of accrued but unpaid interest under the promissory note has been capitalized and added to the principal amount of the loan for $0.375 million, increasing the principal amount owing to the independent director from $0.1 million to $0.375 million and extending the maturity date from Aug. 27 to March 28, 2027.

The company said it intends to use proceeds as general working capital.
