Sep 11, 2018 6:17 AM

National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) declares August 30 as the appointed date for six-laning of the Aunta-Simaria project in the state of Bihar. The project is to be completed within a period of 42 months at a bid project cost of around Rs 1,160 crore.

Sandeep Garg, MD and CEO, Welspun Enterprises said "Aunta-Simaria is primarily a bridge project across the river Ganga. The total length of the project is only 8.15 kilometres."

"The six-lane bridge is about 1.865 kilometres out of these 8.15 kilometres designed length. The project is a 42-month scheduled project however, we expect to complete it ahead of schedule,” he said.

“In terms of the returns, the project is likely to yield mid-teen IRR returns and that has been our consistent range of bidding,” he added.
