December Kansas City Fed Manufacturing Index Posts Decline
Mar 10, 2026 10:54 PM

11:13 AM EST, 12/18/2025 (MT Newswires) -- The Kansas City Fed monthly manufacturing index fell to a reading of 1 in December from 8 in November, below expectations for a smaller decline to 6 in a survey compiled by Bloomberg.

The decrease follows lower readings for the other regional manufacturing data released so far. The ISM's national manufacturing reading will be released on Jan. 5.

Within the Kansas City data, there were index declines for production, shipments, and employment, which were offset by gains for prices paid and new orders.
