November Kansas City Fed Manufacturing Index Posts Unexpected Gain

11:22 AM EST, 11/20/2025 (MT Newswires) -- The Kansas City Fed monthly manufacturing index rose to a reading of 8 in November from 6 in October, compared with expectations for a decrease to a 3 print in a survey compiled by Bloomberg as of 7:35 am ET, indicating faster expansion in the sector.

Other regional manufacturing data already released have been mixed.

The ISM's national manufacturing reading will be released on Dec. 1.

Within the Kansas City data, there were index gains for production, shipments and employment, but declines in the readings for prices paid and new orders.
