Delhi is beginning the implementation of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) from today, September 1, in view of the possibility of an increase in pollution in winter, its environment minister Gopal Rai said.
He told reporters that implementing the Centre's GRAP system is a priority under the government's winter action plan.
"There are four stages of GRAP in total. After the air quality index (AQI) reaches the 'poor' category, the required measures will be taken as per GRAP," he said, adding that at the moment the national capital's AQI is below 200.
