03:00 PM EDT, 09/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- CFRA, an independent research provider, has provided MT Newswires with the following research alert. Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows:
We lift our 12-month target by $30 to $1,160, about 50x our newly initiated FY 27 (Aug.) EPS estimate of $23.15. We lift our FY 26 EPS forecast to $20.62 from $20.49 but trim FY 25 to $18.39 from $18.44. COST will report FQ4 (Aug-Q) results after the market close on September 25. We expect a modest revenue beat, driven by stronger-than-expected membership fee income, which should accelerate from the prior quarter on last year's fee increase and continued solid member growth. COST has already reported FQ4 comp sales (+6.0% U.S. ex-fuel) in its monthly update, so we do not anticipate surprises there. We also project an EPS beat ($6.06 CFRA vs. $5.80 consensus) on stronger-than-expected gross margins. Overall, we believe COST is well positioned in this environment given its unique value proposition, predictable membership model, and long-term club expansion plans in the U.S. and abroad. Tariff risks appear manageable thanks to its limited SKU count and bargaining power with suppliers. We keep our Buy rating.
