Research Alert: CFRA Keeps Hold Opinion On Shares Of Wayfair Inc.
Aug 4, 2025 11:35 AM

02:15 PM EDT, 08/04/2025 (MT Newswires) -- CFRA, an independent research provider, has provided MT Newswires with the following research alert. Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows:

We up our 12-month target to $77 from $51, based on a blended valuation of 17x 2026 EV/EBITDA (up from 14x) and 1.0x 2026 EV/sales (up from 0.8x). We lift our 2025 adj-EPS estimate to $2.21 from $1.02 and 2026's to $2.86 from $1.65. These revisions reflect strong Q2 results, including W's strongest revenue growth since early 2021 (+5% Y/Y), due to flat volumes and a 5% increase in average order value (from Perigold mix, as unit prices have been relatively flat). Importantly, W is not seeing meaningful demand pull forward from tariffs, suggesting this momentum can continue into 2H 2025, particularly if the home furnishings market continues to recover from a multiyear recession (Fed rate cuts could be a catalyst). Better-than-expected operating leverage is also coming through, with adj-EBITDA margins of 6.3% in Q2, the highest since mid-2021 (W targets 10%+ adj-EBITDA margins longer term). We maintain our Hold rating given the stock's premium valuation and its 60%+ run-up year-to-date.

Value investing vs. growth investing: Which is better in today's market?
Sep 6, 2024
It's the perennial question among stock investors: which is better - growth investing or value investing? Recently, there's been little contest. Growth stocks, such as Apple and Nvidia ( NVDA ), have handily outperformed value names. But it's not always that way, and many investors think value will once again have its day -- although they've been waiting on that...
