09:15 AM EDT, 05/02/2025 (MT Newswires) -- CFRA, an independent research provider, has provided MT Newswires with the following research alert. Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows:
We keep our 12-month target at $235, based on a P/E of 29.7x our CY 26 view of $7.90, above historical. We cut our FY 25 (Sep.) EPS estimate to $7.10 from $7.43 and FY 26 to $7.73 from $8.26. AAPL cites tariffs costs of $900M in the Jun-Q ($0.05-$0.06 EPS hit; modest gross margin compression to 46%) and while currently exempt from global tariffs (ex. 20% fentanyl China), the pending semiconductor 232 investigation will give us more insight into permanent tariffs. We think AAPL will do its best to mitigate future tariffs (move all U.S. iPhone production to India in the next two years) and see rising costs from tariffs ultimately pushed to the consumer through higher prices. We view AAPL's inability to provide Services guidance as another negative, which we attribute to regulatory and tariff uncertainties in the coming months/quarters. Still, aggressive buybacks, ability to get AI right, likely launch of foldables in CY 26, and potential simmering of U.S./China tensions are all positives looking ahead.
