05:45 AM EDT, 05/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- CFRA, an independent research provider, has provided MT Newswires with the following research alert. Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows:
We maintain our 12-month target price of $10, a premium to EV peers on a price/sales basis. We increased our adjusted EPS estimates to -$1.65 from -$2.75 for 2025 and to -$1.05 from -$1.50 for 2026. RIVN posted Q1 adjusted EPS of -$0.41 vs. -$1.06, ahead of the -$0.74 consensus. Revenue rose 3% to $1.24B ($220M ahead of consensus) in Q1, driven by a 36% drop in total vehicle sales to 8,640 units. RIVN lowered 2025 deliveries guidance to 40K-46K units from 46K-51K units previously. However, adjusted EBITDA guidance of negative $1.7B-$1.9B was unchanged (current consensus: -$1.89B). RIVN's capex guidance was increased to $1.8B-$1.9B from $1.6B-$1.7B. We remain highly concerned about RIVN's cash burn rates and future capex requirements in connection with its planned new factory near Atlanta. While software and services have given the company a higher-margin revenue stream, RIVN remains far from profitable, and demand could become an issue, particularly if federal EV tax credits are discontinued.
