Research Alert: CFRA Raises Opinion On Shares Of The Mosaic Company To Hold From Sell
May 26, 2025 9:48 AM

03:50 PM EDT, 05/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- CFRA, an independent research provider, has provided MT Newswires with the following research alert. Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows:

We increase our 12-month target by $11 to $32, 5.3x our 2025 EBITDA estimate of $2.69B, in line with MOS's five-year average forward EV/EBITDA. We raise our 2025 EPS estimate by $1.28 to $2.84 and 2026 EPS by $1.22 to $2.63. MOS reported Q1 results with net sales falling 2.2% Y/Y to $2.62B (-3.3% vs. consensus), while adjusted EPS fell 24.6% Y/Y to $0.49 (+10.1% vs. consensus). Adjusted EBITDA decreased 5.6% Y/Y to $544M, with margins contracting 70 bps to 20.8%. While near-term challenges persist, MOS's efforts to optimize operations and expand in key markets like Brazil could support more stable performance in the coming quarters. The company is on track to achieve its $150M annual run-rate savings target by the end of 2025. We justify our upgrade to Hold based on our view of a volatile agricultural market that could swing in either direction, particularly in relation to developments in American foreign trade policy.

Key takeaways A portfolio loan is a type of mortgage that a bank or lender creates and retains -- keeps in its portfolio -- rather than selling in the secondary mortgage market.
