European markets traded sharply higher at the opening hour on Tuesday. The British FTSE was last trading 0.95% higher. French CAC was trading 1.2% in the green. The biggest European market by volume, German DAX was too trading 1.46% higher.

The European markets ended lower on Monday. CAC and Dax fell 0.6 percent each. FTSE also ended in the red. The indices were under pressure amid turmoil in the Middle East.
The Wall Street indices also ended higher in the previous session. Dow ended 0.59% higher, while S&P and Nasdaq ended 0.63% and 0.39% higher, respectively. Energy stocks rallied on Monday, while iShares US Aerospace and Defense ETF (ITA) jumped.
The US bond market remained shut on Monday on account of Columbus Day.
The European markets are also taking cues from their Asian counterparts. Japan's Nikkei was trading 2.43 percent higher. China's Shanghai Composite and Hong Kong's Hang Seng were trading 0.7% down and 0.84 percent higher, respectively.
Crude oil prices were last trading in the red. Brent crude oil and WTI prices were trading 0.18% and 0.1% lower, respectively. The prices were trading above $85 per barrel.
