Stock specific, Sukhani said, “Buy Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). TCS is a buying opportunity. Buy HDFC Bank. All private sector banks will see gains and HDFC Bank should be an equal performer. So, buy HDFC Bank. Buy Asian Paints. The consumer durables, FMCG group is looking cheerful. So, go for the sectors that are doing well, private banks, consumers, and be on the long side.”

Mehta said, “We are recommending on the buy side Larsen and Toubro (L&T). Currently it is quoting at around Rs 1,470 level in the future segment, keeping a stop loss of Rs 1,450 target could be in the range of Rs 1,510. The other one is on the long side, Axis Bank. Current price is Rs 784 in the futures segment, keeping a stop loss of Rs 772 target could be in the range of Rs 800, Rs 800 plus. One short idea is from the IT sector, Wipro. Rs 290 being a strong resistance level and multiple hurdles have been created, current price is around Rs 282, keep a stop loss of Rs 287 on the short position and target could be in the range of Rs 272-274 levels.”
