Know more about what’s lined up in Q4 for metals
Apr 11, 2018 2:18 AM

Results season is upon us again as Q4 earnings will start to trickle in later this week. Jatin Damania of Kotak Securities and Amit Dixit, Research Analyst at Edelweiss spoke at length about what to expect from the metals sector in Q4.

Damania said that Q4 results are likely to be good because seasonally Q4 numbers are good for the metal sector and steel per se because of a lot of infrastructure activity.

Talking about prices, he said, “Steel prices have already gone up by 6-7 percent sequentially because of the price hike taken by the company and the lag effect of the previous quarter price hike.”

Amit Dixit of Edelweiss said that numbers would be better for all the steel companies.

“We are expecting numbers for JSPL for that matter and JSW to lead the pack essentially.”
