The country's largest two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp on Monday said its board has approved to invest up to Rs 700 crore in Hero FinCorp Ltd (HFCL). A non-banking financial company, HFCL primarily deals in financing retail and corporate customers through products including two-wheeler financing, term loans, working capital loans, loan against property, bill discounting, leasing, etc. HFCL is in the process of raising up to Rs 2,000 crore through private placement for its business purposes. Hero MotoCorp's investment of Rs 700 crore is towards participation in this capital raise round, it stated.

Tata Motors shares were trading flat on Thursday after the stock fell over half a percent in early trade. The stock was changing hands at Rs 519.90 at the last count, close to Wednesday's closing price.

Tata Motors will continue to perform well with domestic push and Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), said Ashwin Patil, research analyst at LKP Securities.

In a conference call after its third quarter earnings, Maruti Suzuki has said that through things are turning for the better on the semiconductor shortage issue, production will not hit full steam in the March quarter.
