In corporate news, Toyota Motor ( TM ) shares rose 2.6% after the company said Monday it plans to invest $1 billion in its operations in Kentucky and Indiana to expand manufacturing and support electrification.

Sen. Adam Schiff (D., Calif.) and Sen. John Curtis (R., Utah) are introducing a bill Monday that would block Kalshi, Polymarket, and other Commodity Futures Trading Commission-regulated firms from listing contracts related to sporting events, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing comments from the legislators.
