09:07 AM EDT, 10/01/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were lower in Tuesday's premarket activity with the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) 0.6% lower recently.

The United States Oil Fund (USO) was down 1.4% and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was 0.4% higher.

Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was down 1.3% at $67.26 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil lost 1.2% to $70.84 per barrel. Natural gas futures were down 1% at $2.895 per 1 million British Thermal Units.

Kinetik Holdings ( KNTK ) said Chief Compliance Officer and General Counsel Todd Carpenter plans to retire on Feb. 28, 2025. Kinetik Holdings ( KNTK ) shares were up over 1% premarket.
