09:04 AM EDT, 09/19/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were leaning lower pre-bell Friday, with the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) marginally declining.
The United States Oil Fund (USO) was 0.6% lower and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was inactive.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was 0.6% lower at $63.20 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil lost 0.4% to $67.16 per barrel, and natural gas futures were down 1.8% at $2.89 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
Hess Midstream ( HESM ) shares were down more than 7% after the company said it expects its Q3 net income and adjusted EBITDA to be at the lower end of its previous guidance range, and 2025 net income and adjusted EBITDA to be in the lower half of its previous outlook.
