Sector Update: Energy Stocks Climb Late Afternoon

03:56 PM EST, 11/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks increased late Monday afternoon, with the NYSE Energy Sector Index gaining 1.1% and the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) up 0.9%.

The Philadelphia Oil Service Sector Index climbed 2.2%, while the Dow Jones US Utilities Index eased 0.2%.

West Texas Intermediate crude oil rose 0.7% to $60.17 a barrel, and global benchmark Brent advanced 0.7% to $64.06 a barrel. Henry Hub natural gas futures gained 1.2% to $4.37 per 1 million BTU.

In corporate news, Pengerang Biorefinery, a joint venture among Eni's (E) Enilive unit, Petronas, and Euglena, held a groundbreaking ceremony for its planned biorefinery in Johor, Malaysia, which will have a processing capacity of up to 650,000 metric tons of renewable feedstock a year. Eni shares added 1.4%.

Enlight Renewable Energy ( ENLT ) shares climbed 4.7% after it said Monday its US unit Clenera has signed a debt financing agreement with a six-bank group for the Snowflake A project, located near Holbrook, Arizona, totaling $1.44 billion.

Venture Global ( VG ) shares gained 5.2% after the company reported Q3 revenue rose more than analysts forecast. The company also agreed to supply 1 million tons of liquefied natural gas annually to Spain's Naturgy for 20 years, starting in 2030.

Sable Offshore ( SOC ) said Monday it has signed subscription agreements to issue nearly 45.5 million shares in a private placement at $5.50 per share, for expected gross proceeds of about $250 million. Sable shares jumped 13%.
