09:22 AM EDT, 04/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks declined premarket Monday as the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLE ) fell by 0.1% recently.
The United States Oil Fund ( USO ) was down 0.4% and the United States Natural Gas Fund ( UNG ) was 0.1% lower.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was down 0.1% at $62.95 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil lost 0.1% to $66.80 per barrel, and natural gas futures were 1.3% lower at $2.90 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
Alliance Resource Partners ( ARLP ) shares advanced by almost 3% even after the company reported lower Q1 earnings and revenue.
Amplify Energy ( AMPY ) and Juniper Capital Advisors agreed to terminate their planned merger agreement due to "extraordinary" volatility in the market, Amplify said. Shares of Amplify Energy ( AMPY ) rose past 14% pre-bell.
