08:56 AM EST, 11/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks were leaning lower pre-bell Tuesday, with The Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) down 0.1%.

The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) was up marginally and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) was 0.2% higher.

Wells Fargo ( WFC ) is in the final stages of passing regulatory hurdles in order to lift a $1.95 trillion asset cap next year, Reuters reported, citing three sources familiar with the situation. Wells Fargo ( WFC ) shares were up over 1% premarket.
