01:35 PM EDT, 03/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks were advancing in Monday afternoon trading, with the NYSE Financial Index rising 1.3% and the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) ahead 1.5%.

The Philadelphia Housing Index was climbing 1.7%, and the Real Estate Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLRE) was up 1.5%.

Bitcoin (BTC-USD) gained 3.7% to $88,400, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries was rising 6.9 basis points to 4.32%.

In sector news, the Treasury Department is drafting recommendations to streamline bank regulators like the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., Semafor reported.

In economic news, the March flash reading of manufacturing conditions from S&P Global fell to a three-month low reading of 49.8 from 52.7 in February, compared with a smaller expected decrease to a reading of 51.8 in a survey compiled by Bloomberg.

In corporate news, Dun & Bradstreet ( DNB ) has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Clearlake Capital Group in a deal valued at $7.7 billion, Clearlake said Monday. Dun & Bradstreet ( DNB ) shares popped 2.9%.
