01:25 PM EDT, 08/18/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks were mixed in Monday afternoon trading, with the NYSE Financial Index decreasing 0.2% and the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) fractionally higher.
The Philadelphia Housing Index was up 0.3%, and the Real Estate Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLRE) was retreating 0.5%.
Bitcoin (BTC-USD) was falling 1.2% to $116,095, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries was slightly higher at nearly 4.34%.
In economic news, the National Association of Home Builders' monthly housing market index declined to 32 in August from 33 in July, compared with expectations for an increase to 34 in a Bloomberg-compiled survey.
In corporate news, Global Infrastructure Partners, a part of BlackRock ( BLK ) , said it has agreed to buy a 49.99% stake in Eni CCUS Holding, a global platform in the carbon capture, utilization, and storage sector. BlackRock ( BLK ) shares added 0.2%.
