The Philadelphia Housing Index shed 0.5%, and the Real Estate Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLRE) rose 0.1%.
Bitcoin (BTC-USD) declined 0.3% to $96,355, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries rose 4 basis points to 4.42%.
In economic news, US initial jobless claims in the week ended Feb. 1 rose to 219,000 from 208,000 in the previous week, compared with expectations for 213,000 in a survey of analysts compiled by Bloomberg.
