The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) was fractionally lower.

In corporate news, Scilex ( SCLX ) said Friday that it has been notified that it will be added to the MSCI Global Small Cap Index as of the close of market on May 31. Separately, Scilex ( SCLX ) said Friday it sent a letter to the US House of Representatives requesting an investigation into alleged illegal market manipulation of its shares via "naked short" selling. Scilex ( SCLX ) shares popped 3.5%.
