The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) fell 0.6%.

In corporate news, Moderna ( MRNA ) released positive data from a phase 3 trial of its combined vaccine for influenza and COVID-19, saying the product was more effective versus existing standalone shots for the viruses. Its shares were down 2.4%.
