The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) rose 0.8%.
In corporate news, Eli Lilly ( LLY ) does not support the White House's effort to codify "most favored nation" drug pricing into law, CNBC reported Wednesday, citing an interview with CEO Dave Ricks. Separately, Lilly said Wednesday the US Food and Drug Administration approved its once-daily oral glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist, Foundayo, for adults with obesity or overweight with weight-related medical conditions. Lilly shares jumped 4.2%.
