The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) rose 0.1%.
In corporate news, Aldeyra Therapeutics ( ALDX ) shares tumbled 69% after the company said it has received a complete response letter from the US Food and Drug Administration for its reproxalap new drug application to treat dry eye disease.
Lensar ( LNSR ) shares dropped 33% after the company said it has reached an agreement with Alcon ( ALC ) to terminate their planned merger. Alcon ( ALC ) was up 0.1%.
