Ionis Pharmaceuticals ( IONS ) shares were up nearly 18% after the company said topline data from phase 3 studies of olezarsen showed that the drug candidate significantly reduced fasting triglycerides and acute pancreatitis events in patients with severe hypertriglyceridemia.
Zymeworks ( ZYME ) shares were down more than 17% after the company said it has decided to voluntarily discontinue the clinical development of ZW171, which was designed to target gynecological, thoracic and digestive system cancers.
IDEAYA Biosciences ( IDYA ) stock was more than 7% higher after the company said it has entered into an exclusive license agreement with France-based pharmaceutical group Servier for darovasertib, a treatment of uveal melanoma, a rare type of eye cancer.
