01:56 PM EDT, 06/10/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Health care stocks were declining Monday afternoon, with the NYSE Health Care Index and the Health Care Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLV) each down 0.1%.

The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) fell 0.3%.

In corporate news, Moderna ( MRNA ) released positive data from a phase 3 trial of its combined vaccine for influenza and COVID-19, saying the product was more effective versus existing standalone shots for the viruses. Its shares were down 2.2%.

23andMe (ME) is facing a probe by UK and Canadian regulators over a data breach in October 2023 that could have exposed the personal information of its customers. Its shares dropped 2.6%.

JPMorgan Chase ( JPM ) has launched a $525 million leveraged loan deal to refinance ModivCare's ( MODV ) 2025 maturities, Bloomberg reported Monday. ModivCare ( MODV ) shares eased 1.1%.
